Moore Than Arthritis was born from lived experience.

My name is Wayne Moore, and I am the founder of Moore Than Arthritis.

Moore Than Arthritis was born from my own lived experience of being diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. Like many people, I discovered that arthritis is far more than aching joints — it can affect every part of your life, including your physical health, mental wellbeing, relationships, career and confidence.

Throughout my journey, I realised there was a need for a community that not only raises awareness but also inspires hope, shares trusted information, celebrates success, and reminds people that a diagnosis does not define who they are. That belief became Moore Than Arthritis.

We also believe in the power of collaboration. Through initiatives such as Community Heroes and our developing Community Partner Programme, we want to work alongside charities, NHS teams, adaptive sports clubs, healthcare organisations, businesses and community groups who share our commitment to improving the lives of people living with arthritis.

Sport has played an important role in my own life, and I believe it has the power to bring people together, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for inclusion. That's why promoting accessibility, community engagement and the positive impact of sport is a key part of our vision.
